Garden Notes
A Note from the Garden & Farm:
We rejoice! We carry in
the harvest touched by loving hands,
by soil and sun, by dew and rain,
and creepy things.
Asparagus prim, tomatoes galore,
rhubarb, raspberries, potatoes and more:
garlic, onions, celery, greens,
eggplant, carrots, corn and beans
with squash in a circle—
gifts to be gleaned.
Volunteers truly the core of the scene
as hoop house appears, new and serene,
and flowers bloom near silo and spring,
beauty indeed for silence and wings.
And gardeners willing to learn the new like
garden shares and quality tending
the soul of things in maze of planting,
watering, weeding, cutting, pulling,
nurturing, feeding, gathering in
the daily harvest of wondrous things!
The cycle continues – committed to call
of renewing, recycling, reusing, sharing
the bounty given for one and for all.
