Geothermal heating and cooling system is in place at The Bridge-Between. 

Retreatants and guests are enjoying Earth's gifts of warmth in winter, coolness in summer! 

A 60% energy savings is under our feet!  Geothermal Energy is heat (thermal) derived from the Earth (geo).  By tapping into this free, renewable and clean energy source, we are reducing our utility costs, reducing dependence on oil, and helping to protect the environment. Van's Refrigeration Services and Weslow Water Systems provided the expertise and  installation services for this venture.  Basically all that is needed is a big hole in the ground, piping, a compressor, a heat exchanger and pump, and a thermostat. 

Using Earth's constant 50-degree subsoil temperature to heat and cool the Farmhouse allows The Bridge Community to breathe easier, and "breathe with the Earth."
